100% worth the drive from Portland. 9 courses, 6 were among the best I've ever had. Better than any 1-star place I've been to and all but one 2**. I posted a full review on r/finedining (I think the only one for Mas so should be easy to find), but in short: tied for my #1 restaurant in the PNW with Nodoguro, absolutely tremendous flavors. Highly recommend the n/a and sake pairings, both were exactly what drink pairings should be, really amplifying the flavors in the food.
No words can describe how incredible our dinner experience at Mas was. The level of service, food, and atmosphere was some of the best we have experienced. I would 100000% come back to Ashland just for Mas. This restaurant is a required stop in any Oregon trip. Thank you to Chef Josh and Devon for the amazing experience!!!
Could not recommend MAS more as one of the best restaurants and experiences in the PNW, it is well worth planning a trip around as the chef is one of a kind in delivering a rich connection and great food. 11/10 would recommend
The best place to eat in the valley
Definitely do the chef's table for the best experience. Everything was amazing: tasting menu, NA drinks, sakes, cocktails. The best N/A drinks we've ever had (e.g. pickled rose and strawberry drinks were amazing), and we've done a lot of N/A tasting menus. From discussions with other people at the table, they change the menu very regularly, so the experience should always be unique.
