Horrible experience. Too bad there's not a ZERO STARS rating Opened a tin of newly purchased Mrs Hanes Cookies during the Christmas season. Was surprised to discover the cookies weren't fit to eat, with an unusual aroma and a small amount of liquid in the tin. Called Mrs Hanes Cookies and requested permission to return the cookies for replacement. The rage and hostility exhibited by their telephone receptionist Gigi Condon was amazing! AWESOME cookies! Each cookie is handmade and there is a window where you can watch them be cut. The cookies are thin and crispy. This company has their very own secret recipe. The owners and associates are super nice! I strongly recommend everyone go by and check them out :)
The best Moravian cookies around Hands down, Mrs. Hanes has the best Moravian cookies you can ever buy. Much better than any of the other bakeries around - not that they have bad ones, just that these are over the top better!! The ginger cookies are just slightly thicker than paper thin because they are hand rolled, and their taste is much more complex than others. The sugar cookies are great dipped in coffee!! It's Christmas Time I have been buying cookies here for years and they are wonderful as are the people who work there. I bought a beautiful electric Moravian Star for outside there also. Ginger are traditional and are my favorite.
My favorite cookies. I don't know how anyone can give Mrs Hanes Moravian Cookies a bad review. I've been buying their (her?) cookies for years and they have always been consistently delicious. I really like the ginger crisps. Super thin and crisp, it's hard to stop eating them. :-)
