Moyer's Moyer?s Jewelers is a nice non-chain place to shop for jewelry. I went here for wife?s engagement ring and the saleswoman worked with me to find the best diamond that fit mine and my now wife?s specs, even though I was picky and went in there several times. No other place was patient with me like that and Moyer?s got my business.
store has nice selection, but one rude employee My husband and I went here to look at wedding rings. We had a male employee wait on us and he was very rude. (Condescending toward me, and deferred to my husband.) When I made a comment about how I knew what I wanted, he blew me off, ignored me, and then made a sarcastic comment that he seemed to think was amusing.
just okay The staff here is nice; they are always willing to do a free cleaning of wife's rings despite the fact that we didn't buy them at this store. Occasionally my wife will see one or two things she likes at this store, which is saying a lot because she usually doesn't in the State College jewelry shops. But beyond that, there are a lot of tacky PSU themed pieces and I think that they are overpriced. They do have a friendly buy back option for diamonds if you want to upgrade.

While I have heard many people say they've had great expereinces here, and the selection of items is great, we were not happy with our expereince here based on this one employee.
great selection I love Moyer's. Not only are they in the heart of downtown State College, but they are in the hearts of Penn Staters everywhere. They have a special line of jewelry - rings and pendants mostly that feature the university mascot. They provide just one more opportunity to show off school spirit!
