I have used Moxie Pest Control in Tucson for about 6 yrs now. I've moved several times and brought their services with me. I have never had a bad transaction with them. The service has always been polite and hard working. They come back if I spot any ants in the sprayed areas for free. I see several bad reviews and honestly it shocked me. I was disappointed and not happy with the services. I terminated the services and they charged me cancellation fee for termination of services. Why would you continue the services if you are not happy. That doesnt make sense at all.
They employ people that go door to door to solicit for their company. I have a "No soliciting" sign which is clearly visible. When Moxie rep saw that, they ignored it. First, I told them I wasn't interested. He asked who I had do the service, and I told him a neighbor and again, I'm not interested and it was time for him to leave. He went on about several people in the area that use their service, and I again told him to leave and that I wasn't interested. Again... repeat of about three years ago... sales banging on door rude and dismissive when told to leave... finally left when I closed and locked the door... I called the company ended up with a call center... manager never returned call... makes me suspect of any service I might receive...
Today I got a pushy sales rep at my door got me so upset I did a little research found out they are UNLICENSED in Pest Control in ** and most are here from out of state (CA). This guy told me everything to get the sale I looked up the laws and wow. They also were trying to take advantage of my 82 year old neighbor price was twice as much as what the guy told me. DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS!
This company is the worst. They take your money but will not return your calls. I have called every day for 2 weeks regarding them coming out to treat my back yard for termites that they discovered 2 weeks earlier. I finally received a call today after threatening to contact the BBB. I told them that I want to cancel my contract after being treated this way. The person that I spoke to said I need to talk to an account manager. I was told that they would contact me shortly. Still waiting!!!
As a business owner, I really hate giving bad reviews. But in all fairness, I reached out to them and gave them an opportunity to remedy the poor service and the misleading promises. Their response is that they were sorry and it will be $160 to cancel. Even though I was told in no uncertain terms I could cancel at any time. The primary impetus of the problem is that their service simply doesn't work. They sprayed outside and yet there was no change or reduction in the bugs. The biggest scam They show up at your door claiming the neighbors have pest issues (telling everyone the same thing) then fraudulently charge your card at their leisure. We reported emailed, called and even left online reviews everywhere about the extra $128 charge after canceling the service within days of signing up. We then changed our bank account info and they are still processing random payments. They sprayed A SINGLE time and took out just shy of $400.
