Booked two adjacent sites the day before arrival (Oct 20) and were pleasantly surprised. Very friendly owners, decent woodsy sites, and simple, clean bathroom. We had a nice relaxing weekend drinking and playing games around the fire. Will definitely go back.
My sister has been coming here for years and although it was only my 2nd visit, I just love the place. Nice big sites, pretty grounds, attentive hosts. It's what camping SHOULD feel like in my opinion, just enough of the basics and lots of peacefulness. If you are looking for high end amenities, or a place to party til Dawn, go elsewhere because I'd be fine being here alone, with just the sounds of nature and I love the 10pm quiet hour rule.
First, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT follow GPS directions to the campground, especially if you are pulling a camper! You will travel on gravel roads with hairpin turns up/down very rough roads! Directions are not provided on their website, so call for directions. This is a very, very basic campground for camper/trailer campers. We chose this place for our annual family get together. The staff was fantastic! They worked with me to find suitable sites for a large group. They explained the rules and we're very hospitable to our group. We had a great time and would love to come back next year.
I stayed for a weekend with my two kids. The site was nice and the facilities were fine. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. We were a little disappointed that the swimming pond is now closed but still had a great time on the playground, chasing chickens, and exploring outdoors.
The owners and employees are exceptional. The site was perfect and if we needed something they asked and we got it. Loved the whole place except for the uninvited bugs in the shower lol.. thanks mountain view we will be back!!!
My girlfriends and I ysually do a mom/son camping weekend. This weekend was just moms and its was great. The people were very friendly and the site was clean. I would definitely go back.
