The facility is clean and well maintained. The atmosphere is upbeat. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. It checks all of the boxes for any gym plus some extras like great changing rooms and daycare. However, what I find to be true inspirational is the variety of people who are members. Mountainside Fitness has a lot going for it. The facilities are generally clean, there is a good variety of equipment, and the class offerings are solid. Unfortunately, management seems unwilling to enforce many of the gym’s own rules, which creates a frustrating experience for everyone else. One of the biggest issues is people claiming multiple machines at once. After 15 years of loyalty (roughly $18,000 in membership dues paid) I can confidently say Mountainside Fitness has gone downhill. No more yearly buddy passes--so you can't even bring a friend to try the gym anymore. Then they refused to let me buy a day pass for my nephew because I'm not his father. Seriously? Zero flexibility and no common sense. And let's be real--it's overpriced for what you get. There are plenty of other gyms offering the same or better equipment and amenities without all these ridiculous restrictions.... read more
Love this gym! Moved here from out of state and I am so impressed by this gym. Everything is modern and a nice atmosphere. The equipment is new and nice. Love the classes!! The sauna is big and modern. My daughter literally cries when she has to leave kids club. The whole family feels right at home here!!
I can’t say enough good things about Mountainside Peoria. Since returning home to Arizona, it has been superior to my previous years of working out and working at another local gym. The staff is very friendly and encouraging, the entire gym is always clean, ample weightlifting space, and an overall wonderful vibe. I’ve been a gym fanatic my entire adult life and Mountainside by far surpasses the others. Their MKids club has been an amazing place for my kids to play, I feel they are safe and always having fun.
