I can’t say enough good things about Mountain Haven Property Management Services, LLC! Sandra and Jackie are absolutely amazing to work with. We had a water issue one week, and they went above and beyond to help us. They even brought us water right away so we wouldn’t be without it. Awful management company
As a previous homeowner with an 800 credit score and excellent rental history in the past I was not impressed with Mountain Haven when we tried to work with them a while back. They came off as snooty and declined us which was hysterical. They also require 1st, last, and security deposit and when you bring it up they're response is something along the lines of "to ensure our property landlords are taken care of this is a standard requirement" which is also hysterical. I am deeply disappointed with the absolute lack of professionalism and care shown by this property management company. During move out, we requested an extension which the landlord allowed but then unexpectedly charged us for the extra time. These fees were not outlined in our original lease agreement.
We were a little hesitant to rent through a rental company rather than a private landlord, but it honestly ended up being the best of both worlds. They work to quickly fix everything like an industrial apartment complex would, but they don’t nickel and dime you with excessive fees like an apartment would. We also knew our landlord personally, which isn’t always the case for MH, but that helped us in getting things like home improvement projects done (landlord paid, we did free labor).
