A special "Thank you" to the emergency staff, staff on the 3rd and 6th floor as who took care of our father/husband/relative in July of this year. Mr. G Mc Neill suffered from cancer of the lungs. He passed away during the first week of admission because this cancer was so aggressive. During his stay at Mount Sinai - Astoria the staff understand our family's pain .and along with the hospice team, worked diligently with us to help us cope with our grief. I'm not surprised that this Hospital received C Grade from a review of Hospitals recently. Therefore, I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy because of a bad experience my family had regarding our Mom. So many elderly people never come out of this Hospital alive.
