I had to visit Mount Rushmore on my ride to Sturgis Bike Week. Glad I did.
Mt. Rushmore was so amazing. Set in such a beautiful setting anyway, the Presidential faces are done well and made us feel proud and thankful to be US citizens. A must see!

The evening ceremony was so worth seeing, patriotic, saluting our veterans living and gone, history of the making is shown, the flags leading to the monument shine in the night. Daytime it is bigger than life and the trail that leads under the mountain gives you a different perspective and view of each face. This was truly a marvelous place to visit!�

Still an amazing sight as you ascend the mountain! My first visit in over 20 years and I was bowled over by the improvements. The parking structure that replaced the surface lots, the beautiful plantings and the plaza with the state flags were most impressive. Plaza beyond the now massive gift shop, the amphitheater and elevator are so impressive that another visit is already planned.
Informative and well signposted National Monument. Staff are friendly and helpful - a park ranger was available to give a short tour if you wanted to participate but you were free to walk around on your own if you wanted to
So very happy we made the trip. Definitely worth seeing.
Beautiful view the si silence of the mountain and just birds singing and if you want to keep your silence before you go up get your kids yummy ice cream That will keep them busy :)
