I have been at this hospital and had a wonderful experience. Well this time was the complete opposite. I started out with Sarah at Mount Carmel Grove City, and truthfully, this nurse was so disconnected and unhelpful, to the absolute point of rudeness. She would not respond to any request. Then I am transferred to Mount Carmel West floor 6. If you receive floor 6, ask to be transferred to floor 4 (world of difference). I received Larshmi and not impressed. In our situation, our mom just turned 80 and had a stroke, and everyone at Mount Carmel Hospital was soo wonderful and helpful. Words cant describe. Because my mom was mostly cantankerous. But aspirin suppositories saved her life, and with other meds now she is very calm. Enjoying her last few days because she cant swallow any more. She is smiling and joking now. May God Bless each and every single one of their super caring doctors, nurses, and staff. You all get 10 plus stars from our entire family, & Thank You All again.
My daughter gave birth at Mt. Carmel West and the nurses were great but I have a complaint about a Dr. named Haux, she was very rude and my daughter was being induced by her and she did not explain anything nor did she have any compassion for my daughter, before she induced her, she said she would have to check for any problems in her private area and while I was there with my daughter as she did this, she took an instrument and just shoved it up into my daughter, I was close enough to smack the crap out of her but my daught... read more
Worst hospital i've ever been in. I worked in the medical field for 40 years and i didn't even realize that there were any hospitals that was so behind the times. This hospital needs to be updated to compare with other Medical Centers. Would never go there again or tell anyone else to. Needs a complete update. 0 on a 0-10 score with 10 being the best.
It took 7 hours to see a family member....this was the worst service ever! If they are short of staff....they need to hire more employees.....this was ridiculous....Mt. Carmel East...MUCH BETTER SERVICE!!
My mom took my sister to Mt Carmel West for kidney dialysis. As the nurse was preparing for the dialysis treatment, she looked at my mom and said, "I don't want to make a mistake, I am pulling a double shift." She put the solution in the dialysis machine that cleans the machine itself instead of the solution that cleans the blood and hooked it up to my sister. It destroyed most of my sister's white blood cells. My sister spent 6 weeks in the intensive care unit before she died.
I have mental illness and went here after I swallowed some sharp items witch ended up needing to be removed via surgery. after awaking i was refused pain med's and a tube was in my belly witch i did not agree on be for surgery i was told it was placed there in order to remove any thin i may swallow in the future. the area around it became infected as well as my belly. my own psychiatrist said she thought the tube placement was done to punish me and my treatment was unjust . so if you have a mental illness that causes you to ... read more
Incredible nursing staff – I could not be more impressed with this hospital. My daughter is there now under tragic circumstances. Her loved ones and I have never been treated with such compassion and caring in a hospital before. Each person that has been here remarks on the wonderful nurses. They are never to busy to stop and answer your questions. Not just as they work, but look you in the eye and answer questions until you have no more.
