Mothers Haven is a true gem for new mothers. When I was feeling lost and overwhelmed by breastfeeding the first week they really encouraged me and made me feel hopeful enough to continue the journey! 5 weeks in and we’re feeling great. Portia is a great listener. She made me feel heard and gave thoughtful, educated advice. She has a very calming presence and genuinely cares about your success! Highly recommend!
As a young, first time mom, everything about having a baby was so overwhelming at first. I had my son at South County Hospital at the end of April. All the staff members were absolutely incredible! Nursing the first few days was very difficult. I had extremely painful engorgement, mastitis very early in my breastfeeding journey, and a crazy milk supply that I had no idea how to manage. Desiree has been a huge help with my baby who was born with a tongue tie. She’s been able to assess him to assure me that the tongue tie hasn’t reattached and he has learned to use his tongue properly. She has offered wonderful suggestions on how to boost my supply, get my baby to start taking a bottle again and in making our nursing journey a success. I am very thankful for Mothers Haven.
