The staff was very friendly and service was wonderful. The chips, salsa and guacamole was great. I really enjoyed the chicken enchiladas. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
The food is excellent. Chorizo enchiladas kick ass.
The tacos here are incredible. Outside of Mexico, I have never had better. The service is slow and they generally seem disinterested, but the quality of the food overcomes the general sloth of the millennial staff. If you are in a rush, probably not the best choice but definitely the best tacos on the East Coast.
We ate there two nights in a row, just that good!

The menu here is Two parts Tex-mex, one part Baja, one part classic bar food. During my visits here I tried grouper tenders, wings, fish and beef tacos. All done extremely well and fresh (didn't fall off a Sysco truck). Drinks were good with a lot of variety my only qualm is I wish the margaritas had a bit more tartness but that may be a personal preference. Mothers is my favorite place to eat and hang out with my friends during the winter months. I worked too much in the summer to visit this delicious place. Ryan and Neely work so hard to bring their customers the freshest and most delicious food and you can taste it in every single thing they cook. The staff are some of my most favorite servers in town. As all of our friends and family can attest, we don't consider it a trip to OC unless we go to Mother's at least three times (but it's usually more like five or six in a seven day stay). The food: to die for; the drinks: can you say traditional margarita? - service: attentive and fun; the ambiance: locally sourced, Beard worthy cuisine wrapped in a beach/sports bar that doesn't take itself too seriously.
