Mother Fool's has focused on organic and fair trade coffees and teas since day one. We've also been a great resource for vegans. All of our pastries and soups are vegan and any milk drink can be made with soy at no extra charge. We also take pride in sourcing many of our products locally - our kombucha, soups and chocolates are all made within blocks of the cafe. We also are well known for our music shows. Discovered this place during Fete de Marquette and what a beautiful shop that’s wonderfully vegan and planet friendly. I wish more coffee shops were like this. Delicious coffee of course! I will be back.
I went in on a Thursday afternoon. It was quiet and slow and atmosphere was nice. All the pastries are vegan!! Yey! I got the danishes and they were a nice sweet treat. They were more dough and pie like compared to a buttery and flaky danish but still really good. Stephanie was super kind to explain some coffee flavors to me as I’m not a huge coffee drinker. Great place and I can’t wait to come back when I visit families here in Madison again.
Super-local vegan coffeehouse with a chill & quirky vibe. Reminds me of the chill & quirky coffeeshop I worked at in the Twin Cities 30 years ago! (RIP Prairie Star ) Cash only, but they have an ATM if you forget. Also nice kombucha and teas available if you don't want coffee.
CASH OR PAYPAL ONLY! I had some issues with my PayPal and the staff was delightful and patient through that. They make great coffee in an adorable spot
