We just had our hotel cancelled on the day we arrive to Sydney so we are in a panic mode to find new hotel. Our only requirement is that it has to be near train. This hotel is located 150 m from Mortdale station. Ground floor is a pub open until 4am, but I had the quietest night. There is a different entrance to the hotel so it's convenient. The surrounding is full of food establishment, store, chemist, basically all you need. The room is just refurbished and clean, bigger than any rooms we could have in the city. I am from the Gold Coast and was in Sydney for two days, due to Cyclone Alfred, I got stuck and had to book a room at Mortdale Hotel. Thankfully, the check-in staff were very helpful, and I checked in around 8:00 PM NSW time on March 7, 2025, for a two-night stay. My first night went well, and I had no issues. However, on March 8, 2025, I requested if the bed in my room could be split since I had a friend joining me for the next night. I had already mentioned in my booking that the room was for two adults. Very convenient when the train station and shops are all nearby. The room looks clean but I found a bottle of lube and an opened condom bag under the bed. They gave me a disabled bathroom while the bed is approx 75cm from the floor. I requested to change to another room but the manager said they were fully booked, which I doubt about that.
