I asked for a prescription for amoxycillan to take along on our drive to Alaska in case of a tooth infection. At times we will be hundreds of miles from any form of dental care. I can get the prescription free at Publix. In the past my dentist would write the prescription and I would have it filled and take it with me. (I've never needed to use any of the prescriptions and discarded them after a few months. Dr. Townes apparently refused to provide me with this safeguard for my trip.
