Loved the family program – I had to go to treatment after a DUI and ended up at another place in LA. I left right away because the conditions there were deplorable. Morningside was much much better. I adjusted very well here. I got sobriety and don’t really crave drinking. The family program really is one of the best parts of the program. It gave my family a better understanding of me and what I am going through and how to help me.

Great Program. – Was a great program and easy to jump into. It is a good balance of freedom and responsibility. I’m glad I did what I said I was going to do and actually stayed longer than that.

Positive Experience – I have been to two other treatment centers which were unsuccessful, and I never left those treatment centers with a positive attitude or feeling comfortable in my own skin like I did when I left Morningside. There is not a single bad person that works here. Sometimes the staff gets hectic, but, I understand, because they have a lot of places to be and a lot of people to deal with.

Learned a lot at Morningside – went to Morningside for help with drugs and schizophrenia and I accomplished a lot. I learned healthy ways of eating, worked on my fitness and sober. They have a lot of stuff besides meetings and groups that really helped me, like acupuncture, which was the best.

Great Place – Graduated a couple weeks ago. I loved my therapist, she was very compassionate and understanding and I got the most out of psychotherapy. We did the family program and my whole family got a lot out of it. Some staff communication could be improved, but overall I did really well and would recommend Morningside to others.

Not a problem for me – Did a couple of tours of duty at Morningside, it was always Morningside's fault and I got my whole family on board with the "blame game", well I almost blamed them till I ended up in the grave, turns out the third time is a charm. Look at the reviews for the big name treatment centers and you will find that they are detested as well. Mornignside offers everything and more J

Lifesavers – As we enter the new year, it has given me pause to reflect on those who have made an impact on my life. At the top of the list is Morningside. Our daughter has suffered with trauma and addiction for more years than I care to remember. After we made the decision to give it a chance, our daughter has returned to us much happier and healthier. I applaud the hard work and efforts of both the staff and my daughter. Thank you very much.

Starting Over....Again – Having battled addiction for most of my teens and into my twenties, it has left a bad mark on my life, education, and my family. My family had sent me to different treatment centers, and I would do well for a while, but eventually I would end up relapsing after not staying connected, feel like I was working dead-end jobs, etc. After one particularly bad run, my family once again offered to put me through treatment. I thought Newport would be a nice place to get sober. While I may have not gotten alon... read more
