The Moonrise is exceptional and a one-if-a-kind thanks to the passion and attention of owner Joe Edwards. His fascinating eclectic collection of Space Race art and artifacts is one of the best on public display anywhere in the world. The 3000 pound, 20 foot diameter, solar powered revolving replica of the Moon that rotates over the Roof Garden Lounge is probably his largest lunar artifact - and a dust sized fragment of the Moon may be the tiniest. I was hoping to speak with someone about booking a stand-up comedy show sometime. I headline all over America so if you're interested in some alternative, cheap entertainment guaranteed to keep patrons buying drinks and food, I'd love to work out the details with you. Basically, if you've ever had enough room for karaoke, a live DJ, or even trivia night- you have enough room for stand-up comedy. Parking for the bar is more important than the guests. Even though we paid $300 a night we were expected to pay $20 to get over night parking? No thanks.
Great staff. Super accommodating. Will definitely provide first aid kit if one of the women in your group drops the second piece of glass that night and cuts her foot open and you have to perform impromptu EMT work. 10/10
