We are from Panama city Florida and since we dicovered the Moonlite our Corvette Club comes here once a year. The service is excellent and each dish is better than the one before. With the grear selectione you have a hard time deciding where to start. The Emerald coast Corvette Club will be back every chance we have. By the way thanks for the great parking site.
You won't go away hungry Moonlite BBQ is the place my friends and I plan to eat supper when I'm in Owensboro. My favorite salad is the bananas with peanuts. Its almost a dessert and something you don't find often. There are all sorts of versions of barbecue with vegetables to go along. Cream and fruit pies, cobblers, cakes and an ice cream machine to top it all off. A friend of mine who lived there once described it as "the house of pain". I agree but it's the good kind.
Eat at the Moonlite, and die...happy! Yes, Virginia, there is beef brisket bar-b-que in Kentucky! I found it at the Moonlite Bar-b-que; along with one of the largest, highest quality buffets anywhere. This is a massive restaurant with old-fashioned waitresses. Just an excellent place to have a fabulous meal, and then you can buy a can of their burgoo to take home from the gift store.
Wonderful BBQ Place! This is a wonderful restaurant! They have the most wonderful buffet! My family who lives 8 hours away always asks if we can go there when they come out! This is down home good ol' BBQ!
Excellent This is an excellent place to eat. The best Bar-B-Q i have ever tasted. This is worth traveling for. Not a bad price, excellent service and awesome food.
Good Food and hospitality – I was seated promptly and my waitress asked if I had been there before. When I told her no, she personally escorted me to the room where the buffet was to show me where it was and explain all about it (she said I should definitely try a bowl of burgoo and it was good!). Vegetables were great and cooked the way I was used to (potatoes in the green beans, ham in the white beans). The barbeque was marked (Pork, beef and mutton) and good.
