We almost walked by this place, since it was divey looking from the street. The food was good and very progressive and they made a fine cocktail -
Food was great. Service was not so great. Sat down and was told to go get my own ice water. And not nicely.
Wrapped up a show across the street at Velo Cult and took the crew over there. Holy shit in heaven. The best bangers and mash I have ever had...amazing beautiful pub!!!!
A friend of ours had heard good things about this place so we drove over from Vancouver to give it a try. The food was excellent! The sausage rolls, Welsh rarebit, and even the good old fishcakes were bloody lovely! There was four of us in our group, two ordered the fish and chips and the other two ordered the Cornish pasty. One of the best pubs in Portland. Good beer list, with nitro and cask
I was in on Saturday night 11/15 with a large Brits group. Our waitress was great! We ordered about 6 fish and chips as part of our night out and everyone in the group wanted me to give the same feedback - the batter has changed and it is rather inedible :( It was thick, doughy and chewy. It didn't used to be this way. Please please change it back to what it used to be as no-one in our group is going to order that again and were really disappointed.
