Great food and beer, but service attitude not so great.
My family continued three year tradition today by having our Christmas dinner at the Mon River Brewing Company. Understanding that are one of the few resturants that is open on Thanksgiving and Christmas in Savannah downtown. The limited menu was versitle for all tastes. Although there was a bit of time from order to food service (they were very busy), it was not a gross wait time, our service provider did not leave us to sit without interaction. Very rude bartender in the beer garden no names mentioned but according to my post at 744pm 12-18-15 you do the math
Enjoyed a flight of beers with my Thanksgiving dinner of turkey with all the dressings. Staff was friendly and enjoyable even though they were stuck at work. Nice that we didn't eat too much.
So here's the thing.... REALLY good beer prices, especially for the large variety of beer they have. Only one thing.... They need to work on the refrigeration of their beer. It's barely cold, which dampens the taste of some of their good brews.
We had our rehearsal dinner at Moon River Brewery and it was phenomenal! I communicated with Shaleena prior to the event and she was so great. She responded promptly to each email and answered every question I had with such patience. We held the event downstairs in the beer cellar, and it was a great, intimate space. we loved being able to share pieces of historic Savannah with our out of town family and guests. A must visit in Savannah! Love the one for road!!!
Visited on our first and our last night in Savannah last week. Had the pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and a sweet potato beer. Fantastic! Service great too. Went back the last night for a replay on that beer. Took the remainder of my beer in a to go cup. The waitress put the nut and spice ring on the lip of the to go cup. Such a nice gesture! Will think of Blue Moon when I have Georgia on my mind.
