RecommendedThis is a great hotel and was our absolute favorite place to stay. We've been staying here for almost 10 yrs. However I'm not sure we'll come back. The new owners have done well with upgrading things but its loosing that comforting feeling. Everything is about look and not comfort and creating a warm atmosphere which we really miss. We would always rent the nostalgia room and cozy up on the couch together with a warm fire after being on the beach. RecommendedAwesome place! My wife and I spent 2 nights last week and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Safari room, which was small but cozy, nicely decorated and ocean front. Great places to dine at nearby and the beach was so beautiful and not crowded. We loved our stay so much we booked 3 nights already in October. 🤙
It was a great location as there are stairs right down to the beach. However the room was small with no way to control the heat, no extra blanket and the drink glasses in the room had some weird discolored liquid in the bottom. As well as being able to hear the phone in the office that went unanswered, and each guest as they checked out.

In the "Hunting Lodge" which I stayed, the view of the ocean is fantastic with a deck, and the bedroom area as well had a fantastic view! The place was a bit run down, and there was some obvious "water damage" along the floor boards in one part of the bathroom and the water pressure was kinda weak in the shower. I tried to take a bath one evening and the water got cold before I could even get the tub, half-way full. While using the stove in the kitchen, some burners would not work.
