Thank you for talking more honestly about our history and what happened to enslaved people. The only way we're going to get rid of racism in this country is by exposing children to the knowledge of what we did and how it's still having an impact. Places like Monticello are prime school field trip destinations and our children need to hear what these newer tours are saying! This was an amazing visit! I definitely recommend from the nature to the history it was awesome!
Loved it! The behind-the-scenes tour with Bob C. was entertaining and informative! I could've spent days exploring the grounds. I definitely recommend a full day there to really experience it all and to truly take in all of Jefferson's work. The gardens tour was great--we had the slim older gentleman. Learned so much!
We enjoyed our visit to Monticello last Friday 16 August so, so much. We had planned this as part of a week-long driving vacation and took the Behind The Scenes tour. great place to visit, beautiful property
Monticello is so beautiful and serene. I was in awe when I visited and you can feel the history and presence of Jefferson and his love for his home. It takes my breath away. Will be visiting again in the fall.
