Yup, disappointing... – We drove to Cinci from Columbus specifically to go to the Montgomery Inn (it was recommended to us). Sorry, but I have to agree with the previous reviewers when I say I was disappointed with the very mediocre food. Personally, I liked the BBQ sauce (I bought some from the giftshop) but the meat was sloppy, greasy and just generally not good. My baked potato side was as hard as a rock. Gone down hill – hate to say it but Mont. Inn has gone down hill. The ribs taste precooked and then kept in a warmer or something and are becoming dry, sauce is still good. Service is more like what you get at skyline--herd them in and herd them out. Ribs tast and looked flat and not tasty.
Great, but overrated – Without a doubt, Montgomery's is one of the best Rib Places in the country, but it's over rated and over priced. There are a lot of other excellent Ribs places that are of better value.
I Love It! – I have eaten at all three Montgomery Inns and I always enjoy the food. Service is exemplary. I usually go early in the evening to avoid the lines. Try the ribeye seasoned, it is awesome!
Arrogance Spoils Appetite – This restaurant exudes such an arrogance because they think they are an "institution." Host staff is snotty. Food is overpriced. Management feels no need to correct a problem by working with the customers. The attitude here is people will keep coming because of who we are. Arrogance is very unappetizing.

NOT WORTH THE WAIT....AND WAY OVERPRICED – We waited an hour and 45 minutes to get in, and withstood lousy service, just to be served what was obviously precooked and maybe even frozen ribs. Too much sauce and not even good sauce. The meat was too soft and all of the accompaniments were disappointing as well. What a waste of a meal in Cinci. The Tunnel Bar-B-Que in Windsor, Ontario had got the best ribs you can buy in a restaurant. I'd go all the way up there rather than eat at the Montgomery again!
Ribs in the Mail – I have never actually been to the Montgomery Inn, but the ribs I got delivered to me in the mail were really delicious. If I get within 100 miles of the Montgomery Inn, I would drive there just to have their ribs in person. You can eat their ribs as is, without any sauce. They are amazing plain. But the Montgomery Inn sauce is what really pushes them over the top. It's one of those sauces you should have a constant supply of in your refrigerator.
