Ribs are great ,try the steaks, chops and special salads, too. – Try any of these restaurants on a week night, service as well as food are excellent. If you are not in the mood for ribs, give the chops or steaks a try. I always order my steaks with their special seaoning. I'll take the rib-eye any day. The "Ribs King" has served up great barbecue since 1951 at this Cincinnati mainstay. – In Short Patrons of this beloved local chain are best served sticking with the specialty: barbecued choice pork loin back ribs with famous Montgomery Inn barbecue sauce. Those looking for more can mix things up with ribs and chicken or ribs and shrimp combinations. All entrees include a tossed salad and your choice of french fries, baked potato, baked sweet potato or homemade Saratoga chips. Large, filling portions are to be expected.
Beware-- Hidden charge-$1.00 up charge for on the rocks cocktails – My family and friends have enjoyed going to Montgomery Inn for years. I was so disappointed this past Valentines Day with the up-charge on my cocktail. Mind you the charge was only a dollar but it is the principle of the matter. You are asked up or on the rocks. I was charged an additional dollar for my cocktail because is was on the rocks. The profit is at least 900% on a drink--why charge more? This is the only restaurant that charges more for ice. Be preparred to wait... – I can honestly say that I have never had a more disappointing restaurant experience. Be preparred to wait and wait and wait... if you want to try the food at The Montgomery Inn. My family and I were on vacation in Cincinnati and we were told that the food was very good at the Montgomery Inn. Phenominal, Time After Time!!!! – After several years and a few locations here and there, the Montgomery Inn is still the BEST!!!! The Original is my favorite, most of all for the familiar and friendly wait staff. Every time we go we can expect the "World's Greatest Ribs" and the "World's Greatest Service". We will continue to visit and will always recommend this "Cincinnati Tradition".
FRIDAY HAPPY HOUR – Thought I would try something different for Friday happy hour with my brother who was in from out of town. I heard Montgomery Inn had a great happy hour so we met there. We got there @ 4:30 pm the bar wasn't real crowded so we got a seat @ the bar right away. Apps were 1/2 off and ALL drinks were $1.00 off . The service was great the Bartender was super and made us feel right at home. I will be going back again soon !
Still THE BEST – All three Montgomery Inn restaurants continue to provide the best food, service and atmosphere for a night out to eat. The ribs are still my #1 favorite on the menu but try the porkchops, they're tender and juicy, as well as the steaks. You can't go wrong with the menu they provide. Terrible service! – This restaurant was listed as one of the signature places in Cincinnati, so our expectations were high and disappointment even higher!!! We went there for lunch on Monday, expecting less people and prompt service. Still the one! – You will not find better ribs north of the Ohio River. I won't claim these are the world's best ribs, though. What you will get at Montgomery in are very most and delicious pork ribs, rubbed in fantastic seasonings and then covered in Montgomery Inn's signature BBQ sauce (sweet, not tangy).
