Expecting parents and parents of newborns: Our OB doctor ordered for all in close contact with our baby to get a TDAP shot, regardless of if or when they had it. This health department refused to give it to a family member, going against our doctors orders and putting our newborn at risk. Talking to them did not help as they state CDC guidelines and only offered the TD vaccine, which does not addres pertussis. Pertussis, or whooping cough, is coming back as many are refusing to vaccinate their children all together. This is ... read more
