My adult daughter has been in and out of treatment facilities for over 20 years. MV is the best. Caring, considerate, compassionate and effective.
STAY AWAY I took my 16 Year old Daughter to this Nightmare on a Recommendation, When I applied for A EVAL I waited 4 hrs to be seen by an intake nurse. After the Eval I was so Disgusted with this facility I wanted to leave. I requested that me and my Daughter leave , however they told me because my daughter said something about hurting her self she would have to remain on a legal hold B.S. They detained me for another 2 hrs and Threaten to call CPS and Metro if I declined Admission. this was on May 22nd . she was held for 4 ... read more
I am a graduate of Montevista Hospital. I read the reviews from "Phil E.", "Alexandra Y.", and "RandPierce". Idiotic, at best. I was there late June and July of 2013. People like the aforementioned were there also, These were the type of patients that refused to take the medications, argued constantly with the staff, thought they were smarter than everyone else, etc., etc. These are the "patients" that would not go along with the program, and due to their failure will blame the hospital or anyone else. I've been sober since ... read more
DISGUSTED I've read all of the reviews, and have to say that the "majority" are of my own personal feelings, based on having my young adult son, in and out of this facility over the past 4-5 years, with no success. What I cannot blame on this facility, is the involvement required by the patient, and their "willingness" to be better, take their meds, attend meetings or just be tired of an addiction. This is key and very important. No one Dr. or facility can MAKE anyone ready to be better however, this Hospital was the WORST p... read more
High Ranking Employee "vegasgirl44" A hospitalis only as good as it's staff. ~~~~ Time and time again I have had to come in contact with a high ranking employee who goes by the alias "vegasgirl44". ~~~ She continually asks for sex with strangers and couples on the internet. This is sick and immoral. ~~ It is easy enough to Google "vegasgirl44", find out who she is and read her sick requests for sex with couples while her husband watches. Sick.
Horrific Hospital!!!! Do NOT under any circumstance seek inpatient or outpatient treatment at Montevista Hospital unless you want to be treated worse that a caged animal. I went to see about their outpatient program because I was dealing with some stress and grief over my beloved dog who was dying. I was involuntarily LOCKED up with no reprieve while my dog was left for dead at home without food, water and medicine. I could go on about the violation of my human rights and the undignified and inhuman treatment I received, but... read more
PRISON I came here as an adolescent multiple times, and let me tell you- Monte Vista is a living hell. It's the last place you want to be if you're suicidal, depressed, anxiety-stricken, or have insomnia. The adolescent unit is pretty small and extremely unsettling. It feels like a prison.. you become home-sick VERY quickly. You literally spend nearly the entire day in one squished room with about 14 or 15 other patients and some staff/counselors. You spend all day talking in groups with different counselors every hour. You ... read more
Montevista Hospital is THE worst hospital in the Las Vegas area. I am writing from direct knowledge not just what they wanted me to see. Melanie V. obviously had a rare expierence not a typical one. If you need Mental Health services go to one of the 2 other hospitals and get the help you need. Here they check the insurance and admit if it is there. They give you a 5 minute visit with the doctor during you 72 hour hold. If you care about yourself or your loved one, then please don't go here. Go to one of the other hospitals ... read more
Nightmare disguised as a hospital! I went to Montevista because I was suicidal. I sat around about 5 or 6 hours before I saw any staff member. I went at night and there were about 20 people waiting to be seen. They only had 2 people doing admissions. I called during the morning and spoke to someone named Sarah who was very rude on the phone and told me to come in that evening. It is not easy being suicidal and waiting all day for help. When I went back for my assessment I noticed there were only 2 people working. The lady do... read more
