It has come to my attention that this state hospital is using government funding to do bizarre research on the patients trapped behind it's walls. I beg and plead with anyone reading NOT TO ADMIT NOR COMMIT your loved one here and if at all possible get your loved one out of there immediately. I am the parent. During my DC's stay it was alleged that something happened that was EXTREMELY concerning. I opted to phone DC's therapist instead of the police and was told that she and her colleagues would begin an investigation and would get back to me but it may take a month. I never heard from her again. I waited over a month to follow up with an email and she never replied. I then emailed her again. I also called and left her a voice message. My son was at MonteVista many times. However I wasn't sure if they were even doing what they told me they would do, due to him coming back so many times. Sometimes our experience was good. Other times not so good. One of the Young ladies in intake told us about an outpatient program that MontaVista was okay sending us too. I am so thankful now of MontaVista suggesting C.E.S. I want to say thank you to that young lady for telling us about Creating Empowerment. MONTAVISTA THANK YOU!!!!
If I could give a zero I would. I am currently going to pick up my child from the hospital. They have lied to us about everything. We were told that they don't give medications before lab results and then we found out the labs were not in. Then their story changed but I have the proof. Then I asked them to stop her sleep aid for a 12yr old and use melatonin only to find out the psychiatrist denied my request and asked the 12yr old what she wanted. He made her think these drugs were the answer. They did not require my daughte... read more

I came here for help and I got it!! I felt like the staff was genuinely concerned about me. Megan, Dave, the big Hawaiian guy, gladys, all made me feel so welcomed. And I told the head chef I would do this and describe his food.... The fact that the chef was concerned about the quality of food was impressive. And the food reflected that

MY GRAND DAUGHTER HAD BEEN TO SPRING MOUNTAIN TREATMENT CENTER 5 TIMES THEN WILLOW SPRINGS IN RENO FOR 3 WEEKS IN OCTOBER. UNFOURTUNELTY SHE BECAME ILL AGAIN AND TAKEN TO MONTEVISTA . SHE LIKED THE PLACE EXCEPT CHRISTMAS. THEY NEVER TOLD US HER OR I THAT THEY HAD AN ALL DAY CHRISTMAS PARTY FOR FAMILIES AND PATIENTS SO SHE WASNT INCLUDED AND WHEN I CAME TO VISIT HER THAT NIGHT WAS WHEN I FOUND OUT.
