Our Chef was born in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and offers several house specialties which currently include: Wild Boar with gnocchi Red Snapper Livornese Swordfish alla Caponata Veal or Beef Osso Bucco Homemade Pastas With our recently renovated private party space please inquire about having your event with us up to 50 sit down. We also offer a tasting menu for $45 per person that includes various appetizers, homemade pastas, entrees and desserts

My favorite place in all of NYC - been eating here for 30 years. In a cozy spot in West Village-right across from NYU. You will never eat lasagna from anywhere else after trying Montes. It's family owned and wonderful.

My absolute favorite restaurant not only in NYC but probably anywhere. The ambiance & food can't be beat. It's the quintessential Manhattan restaurant. I've recommended people to Monte's and they in turn have told their friends. It's the kind of place where The Rat Pack may have dined in their heyday. Or, I'd like to think so... I had the Parmigiana and LOVED it! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is friendly and welcoming! Would definitely visit again if ever in NYC.
