History Established in 2010. In 1972, Jesus and Napoleon Onate's father migrated to the U.S. and opened his first Monterrey Mexican Restaurant on Buford Highway in 1974. The great Mexican food and friendly environment quickly gained popularity with locals and, over the upcoming decades, allowed the Onate family to open multiple locations throughout the Atlanta area.
