History Established in 2010. In 1972, Jesus and Napoleon Onate's father migrated to the U.S. and opened his first Monterrey Mexican Restaurant on Buford Highway in 1974. The great Mexican food and friendly environment quickly gained popularity with locals and, over the upcoming decades, allowed the Onate family to open multiple locations throughout the Atlanta area. Delicious Food! We love this little place! The food is always delicious and it's such a comfortable setting. They have the best service I've ever had...you know who you are....always having such a cute smile, and their prices are great! This is a great place to dine!

Me and my family come here every Thursday night because they have Mariachi band there that plays every Thursday night and they will come to your table and play any song you request and there really funny too. I had my birthday there and the Mariachi band sang to me . Excellent Mexican Restaurant!!! This is a little hole-in-the-wall, Family owned business. All the employees are extremely friendly and couteous. There is a wide array of Mexican dishes to choose from. I highly recommend the Burro de la Roqueta. It is the best Mexican restaurant for the money!
