They saved my life when no other hospitals would take me. They flew out and brought me back to the Bronx on ECMO. I owe my life to this hospital and their way of thinking. They don't care about the risk like other hospitals. If there is any chance of life they will try to save it.
Just recently, my sister had the good fortune of being the recipient of a heart transplant at Montefiore. Prior to that, she was in end stage heart failure. The team at Montefiore installed an Lvad to save her life and await a transplant. The care she was given was exemplary! Her cardiologist,Dr. Jorde has.... and .... This Hospital claims to have high standards but IT IS ALL THE OPPOSITE WHEN YOU WALK INTO A FACILTY SUCH AS A HOSPITAL YOUR FIRST ENCOUNTER SETS THE DAY AND YOUR VISIT TO DRS I HAVE FOUND THAT FRONT DESK STAFF ARE UNPROFFESIONAL BAD ATTITUDE SOURCASTIC NOT WELCOMING AT ALL LOUD TALKING ABOUT PERSONAL MATTERS VERY UNPROFFESIONAL MONTEFIORE CLEAN UP YOUR STAFF SETS THE STANDARDS IF PATIENTS WANTS TO COME BACK THATS WHY I LOVE N.Y.P WEILL CORNELL HOSPITAL # 1
