I ordered an item and it arrived in a timely fashion, and then I got to talking with Cynthia who was very helpful about the extra features on the machines. friendly too. I wish they carried more Accuquilt dies and had a big SALE sign when there is one and they also need to post a list of which ones are on sale and they need a current catalog of all dies.
I feel safe going into the store with Covid. I got excellent service beyond my expectations on the problem my machine was having! Why would anyone shop someplace else for a sewing machine?
I'm serious about sewing and have ALWAYS thought of Montavilla as an essential element of my life! They're experts at helping with big decisions, i.e., which new machine would best suit my needs. They're aces at repairs, and they are super as teachers. Patient, never laughing at my whacky ideas or questions. I love that Montavilla is a long-standing Portland company, too. Gotta love supporting them!

My 10 year old Pfaff embroidery machine had To be sent in for serious repair work. Unfortunately I live on an island in Alaska and no one was able to fix it. A friend recommended Montavilla sewing, I was able to ship to them to have it repaired. They ended up suggesting I do a trade in because the large motherboard was going to have to be replaced and the repairs alone would cost more than a used upgraded model of my machine.
