great family restaurant The Monrovian is a great place to take your family. They are located in Old Town Monrovia, which is a beautiful area. There is a lot of parking in the rear of the restaurant. The serve all types of food & you get GREAT customer service.
good breakfast, reasonable prices i bit old school. Lots of gray hair in this place. Good denny's style food and almost never a wait. Great place for a big breakfast, especially after a hang over.
I really don't know what happened to this restaurant. Before it was remodeled, the food was delicious, the prices were low, and the staff was extremely courteous. For the past few years, the restaurant has been in shambles. I've received dirty silverware and cups on more than one occasion and find that getting a coffee refill can be quite a hassel - unless you're willing to wait for fifteen minutes. The food has gotten greasy and the environment is very cheap, even for a family restaurant. Try to avoidthis restaurant.
Almost as old as Monrovia. A favorite place place for breakfast. Simple good food. Large tables and upstairs room for larger gatherings.
Old School Cafe in Old Town – The menu gravitates toward standard fare burgers, sandwiches and salads. With certain entrees they do veer away from that, but it really is best to stick with the tried and true here. The food is nothing spectacular, but it's good for what it is. Make friends with the waitresses and they will remember your order and give you better service.
Over priced average food. – I used to love this restaurant when their food was better, and not so overpriced. Lunch for two costs us about $25, definitely not worth it. The food is mediocre at best, you'd almost miss the fact you had lunch there if it weren't for the money missing in your wallet.
