The Monkey Bar & Steakhouse was purchased by Claudia Garcia & Nico Bogert in November 2006.The out side area seats up to 100 people and has a large bar that seats 24 people. Inside seats up to 60 with another 6 seats at the smaller bar. Our menu features steaks, pasta and innovative seafood dishes as well as an extensive sandwich and appetizer menu. We have a full liquor bar and a nice wine list with many choices available by the glass.

Food was great! Chowder and steak very good. Like others, watch your bill, drink added not ours, service charge, not told why and the bill has two totals one for cash one for credit card. The card fee is about 8%!! They don’t tell you that either!! 😡
Business response:
Hello John, We participate in a cash discount program which gives you a discount if you pay cash. If you use a credit card it’s a 3.5% charge not 8%. We have signs throughout the restaurant explaining the program. Also if you had separate checks at your table maybe a drink was put on the wrong tab but we don’t add drinks to random bills.

the French dip was very good
Zero class at this place, wait staff is very good, friendly. The DJ is a jerk! He is so into himself, he sings most of the time. My friend asked to sing, and it was not a karaoke night, but he said ok. 1 1/2 hour after listening to him sing she got called. When I called him out on it, he told me that he decides who can come up to sing. He was just a jerk, and Myself and friends will not be returning!
Business response:
I am aware of your bad experience in our restaurant but you must understand that I do not have karaoke. If Chuck lets someone else sing it's his decision it's not an obligation. He usually lets people he knows sing along. I don't think calling people names is the best way to make a complaint.
