Besides the fact that she arrived late to open her salon and did not even apologize, she also seemed uncomfortable cutting my long, curly hair. For the flat-ironing, she passed me to another employee who clearly had never straightened hair before. The flat iron was not set at the proper temperature and pulled my hair multiple times. This shop charges about $55 for a women's haircut, wash, and blow dry. Other beauty services are provided as well. The owner takes her time in ensuring that it is done with attention to detail. It's air conditioned in the summer and there is a relaxed experience. Nothing fancy, but just an honest business.

I love supporting local businesses and read some good reviews, so I thought I would give Monica a try. It was a spur of the moment decision on my part to get my hair done, and after looking at some reviews, I gave Monica a call, and she was able to fit me in. It's a small shop, but I was given excellent treatment. She has an assistant working with her that gives an excellent head massage, I think I purred LOL.
