Dined here for a wedding reception and must say I was thoroughly impressed by the food and service! Wish I had experienced this place sooner!
The Monasteros, Joe, Salvie and Gina were my mother's cousins and have been family to us for many years. I remember enjoying pizza at their first little pizza place, LaCanopy. It's still one of my favorite pizzas! Their love of food and family definitely added to their many successes as entrepreneurs and heads of their beautiful families. It's hard to realize that Monastero's will no longer be there serving their wonderful food and welcoming all who dine there as "family". I've been frequenting Monastero's since the 70's.... My very favorite place ~ excellent food, excellent family, excellent staff and wonderful memories of holidays and celebrations with family and friends,,, Just sitting here thinking about how awesome it would be if they were to share their recipes by doing a farewell tribute cookbook.... Have to go right now before I start crying... xo
