Monarch Wellness is a practice that I feel lucky to have as a partner in the DMV. Providers in this practice are skilled, collaborative, communicative, and caring. I feel assured knowing that clients are working with excellent providers when I refer them to Monarch Wellness. In particular, Carissa Hannum is a talented clinician, and a wonderful collaborator. Clients share rave reviews about how much they gain from their work with Carissa. She provides the highest level of care to her clients.

I am a provider and have worked with both Carissa and Taylor. They are both wonderful, compassionate therapists who I’ve really enjoyed working with and learning from. I continue to refer to this practice and trust that my clients will receive great care from the Monarch Wellness team!

I highly recommend all the therapists at Monarch! They are all incredibly knowledgeable and experienced trauma and eating disorder specialized therapists. I have specifically worked with Dana Harron and Carissa Hannum on client care. They utilize a wholistic approach respecting client autonomy and showing all of their clients compassionate care while challenging them at the same time.

It is so easy to work with her collaboratively, as she is communicative, gracious, and easygoing. Where Carissa particularly shines is in her work around chronic illness and pain, which can be so stigmatized and dismissed ... read more
