Tucked away in a residential area of the French Quarter is this jumping trattoria. The walls are covered with every type of Mona Lisa picture imaginable. The Mardi Gras Pasta is a tangy blend of shrimp and sausage in a red sauce atop linguini. The Spinach Lasagna is also a great choice at the same low price. Start off with a salad and melt-in- your-mouth garlic bread (its free, but you have to ask for it).

Wonderful! Wonderful! I've been going here since they were a very tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant. The food quality is consistently very good, large portions, low prices. Great atmosphere!!
Great food and service – A quaint setting in the Quarter that is a hit with locals and out the Quarter people as well. Food is reasonably priced and delicious and the service is generally excellent and friendly.
A Great place to dine with Great Friends!!!! – Always good food and friendly staff!!! Last week i went there with two friends who had never been there--they were impressed that we had a place like this--They were ready to go back tonight and try something else out--me i 'm a stick in the mud and stay with my Mona Lisa Special Sandwich...............
Mona Lisa's New Orleans – My husband and I love Mona Lisa's and eat there whenever we're in the area. It's romantic, but also great for families as it's not loud so you can hear one another. Our favorites are the eggplant Parmesan, chicken fettuccine, meatball sandwich, salad, and the pizza. We've never had bad service, and find them to be friendly and 'normal' - not like Chile's waiters that bother you every 5 seconds and sit next to you. :-) Sorry about that tangent. Go here if you're looking for a great meal.
RUDE host/long wait to get seated/rude server – We went to Mona Lisa at the recommendation of some local New Orleans residents. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait...we waited 35 minutes or longer outside. We were seated only because we inquired about how much longer the wait would be....when we were seated we told the waiter we knew what we wanted and requested to order before a large party. The server was VERY rude. We were told they would go get us some water. We left decided to cut our losses wasted time! We wal... read more
Amazing Food – Quaint little pizza paradise. My favorite in the world! Salads are delicious. Service is fantabulous, atmosphere is perfect. I miss that place dearly. I think I will have to visit next weekend.
Awesome food...great atmosphere – Great little restaurant with high quality and good priced food. Nice atmosphere...small cafe type place -- very New York type feel. Romantic and quaint. Food is very consistent...we come in just to eat at Mona Lisa!
too expensive...over $11 for a small cheese pizza – way over priced. Tried to get a plain cheese pizza wit a $10 bill....no way. no mater how small we're talkin
One of my favorite restaurants in the city! They would get 5 stars from me, but their service sucks. They're right across the street from Verti Marte though, and they'll let you bring in your own liquor, so I recommend picking up a bottle of wine at Verti Marte and be prepared to spend some time there. The food is worth the wait though! It's like West African soul food... pretty simple stuff but SOO delicious!
