Appreciated the extra time to discuss my overall health
I've been seeing Dr. Emmert for years, and highly recommend her. Dr. Emmert is rare , in that she is both incredibly smart, and incredibly caring (a strangely rare combination in my experience). You can tell that she stays up to date with the latest developments in her field, and she's always willing to listen to your concerns and answer any questions. Again, highly recommend.
Went to Dr. Emmert for years. Don't know why. The last straw was when I had diarrhea for 2 months, lost 20 lbs and went to the emergency room. They ran a bunch of tests and told me to follow up with Dr. Emmert. When I followed up with Dr. Emmert, she suggested I see a gastroenterologist. When I saw the gastroenterologist, he recommend further tests but told me to be sure to have the tumor checked on my ovary. I had no idea what he was talking. I have been a patient of Dr. Emmert's for at least 15 years. I have always found her to be empathetic and a good listener.
I am a professor at Miami. I saw mixed reviews about her. One of my colleagues cautioned not to visit her as he did not have a great experience. When my time came to visit a doctor I tried my best to see some other doctor but no one could give me an appointment. I had no option but to see Dr. Emmert. I must say, I had an excellent experience with her. I first saw her in 2016 when she was very good. I saw her again in 2017 and was very happy with the quality of care she provided. I Recommend her.
Dr.Emmert comes across to me as a very caring, and efficient medical doctor.
I would not recommend Dr. Emmert to family or friends unless she has made some improvements over the last 7 years. That's when I left her practice. I found her attitude and bed side manner to be very poor. I had bad hip and back pain and she treated me like a drug seeker. After me begging her to find out what was wrong an MRI showed 3 degenerated disk and an arthritic hip. Another doctor helped me find ways to deal with the pain.
Office staff very forgetful.
