Change Up from Ribs – Cielo is a hidden gem in Memphis. It is easy to miss, as it is in an old 1800's house that was converted to a restaurant. The food is good. They keep things simple as far as options (one page menu), but every thing sounds good. When I went, the fish of the day was sea bass which is hard to find now a days. They close promptly at 9:00 PM on weekdays, so be sure to get there by 8:30. Save room for dessert.
Very Romantic and artsy atmosphere – The food was very good with an excellent flavor,however the cuts of meat were average both the sea bass and the prime rib, but again the flavor was tremendous. A great place to take a date with great ambience and service!!!
Cielo is "heavenly" – The atmosphere, service (ask for Kari), meal, wine, and music made our rare outing without children as much fun as 20 years ago. I would have paid more.
Victorian Romance – My dining experience at Cielo's was wonderful. The ambience was very romantic and the food was fun and delicious. The wine list was perfect and not outrageously expensive. The wait staff was funny, pleasant, efficient and unobtrusive. My date and I went upstairs to the bar afterwards for a drink and listened to a fabulous singer and piano player who was a delight to the ears. I highly recommend Cielo for any occasion but especially for a romantic night out on the town.
It was a heavenly experience – My new boyfriend and I decided to go to Memphis for the 4th of July weekend. While planning our trip, I stumbled across the website, "Citysearch.com" for things to do in Memphis. We choose "Cielo" for the most romantic restrauant - it definietly lives up to the atmosphere. Old City Decor in Hip Atmosphere... – A friend sent us a gift certificate after reading about Cielo and I have to say it was excellent. I just moved to this area and it was the first five star restaurant that I've been too. The nineteenth century architecture mixed with new age restoration was very cool. My bf had a seafood dish and I had the duck and everything was amazing. The dessert was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends.
