I drive a unicorn. Super Beetle engine, IRS bus rear suspension and drive axles, and a split window body. The transmission has to mount to a split window chassis, accept the gear shift rod of the 66 bus, and drive the late model CV joints to send power to the wheels. Mofoco not only rebuilt the type 1 transmission with the type 2 shift parts for the regular transmission price, but they got the unit back to me in four weeks, ten weeks faster than the work order says it usually takes. These guys rock!
Do not let MOFOCO take your money! I ordered a turnkey engine nearly 2 1/2 years ago, and have been strung along with false promises, lies, and excuses. Originally, they promised a (roughly) 20 week lead time. They promised this, knowing that critical parts were not obtainable at the time, yet they continued taking people's orders and money.
Ordered cylinder heads in April of 2022, it is now October 2024. Still no update and no item. Feels like dealing with scammers.
Waste of time with these liars.
Ordered an engine in July 2022 and it is now January 2024. I never received my product and was given lie after lie about when my product would be delivered when I contacted them. There's production delays and then there is scamming people out of their money. If you want to be robbed in open day light then Roy is the man you go to. Buyer beware.
