Walked in for a spa pedicure on a Sunday afternoon, and there was no wait! They offer basic pedicures for $60 but I got a fancier one that lasted almost 2 hours! Pricey but honestly worth it. There is a bathroom available in the hotel that’s attached, you just have to ask for the key.
I love this place!!! The aesthetic is very pleasing and the staff is very welcoming as soon as you step through the door. I had the pleasure of having Win at the Navy Yard location as my nail tech, whom was very sweet. I came for a gel pedicure set on getting white toes, as that’s the only color I’ve gotten for over 5 years. She convinced me to get pink ensuring I’ll like it. She was absolutely right!!! I happened to be in the neighborhood and really needed a pedicure and stopped in here by chance. win did my pedicure and she was amazing. Friendly, personable, and I walked away loving how my French pedicure looked.
I don’t write one-star reviews lightly, especially for a business I’ve supported for years. I’ve been a loyal customer of Modern Nails in Navy Yard. I come in regularly, I tip well, and I’ve always believed in supporting businesses that treat their customers with care. That’s why this experience was so disappointing. Horrible service and quality. Did the absolute worst nail set of my life and my nail broke because he used the polish builder gel vs the pot builder gel like I requested. Called them three times beforehand to confirm that I can come it to get it fixed and they said yes. Went in and now they said ONLY the guy who did my nails can fix it. A complete sham of a salon and abhorrent service - but don’t worry they price their services as if they’re a five star! An absolute waste of your time and money.
