As a newer transplant to Atlanta I took a chance on Modern Dental based mostly on reviews and proximity, and I'm very glad I did! Dr. Kelley was wonderful, and all of the front desk workers, assistants, hygienists, and dentists were very friendly and communicative. I was a little nervous about going since it had been a few years since I'd been able to visit a dentist and I knew I had some cavities and gum disease to address, but I was never once made to feel judged or chastised for it. I had to have three fillings unfortunately and I'm TERRIFIED of the needle but Dr. Kelly was the first time that I never actually felt the needle! Her and her team are amazing!!!
Modern Dental is such a great establishment, they served my grandmother Gwendolyn Harris just earlier today and she has told me nothing but great news from them. Their work is outstanding and staff is amazingly talented and knowledgeable, my family and I highly recommend you to contact them and set your life changing appointment.
I knew I needed to stop coming here when ownership changed but have just kept going because it can be hard to change providers. Today was the last straw. Like many others that have left reviews since the practice was sold, it still bothers me that I was never notified that it was under new ownership and the doctor I made an appt with (and had been seeing for years) was no longer the owner when I showed up. I’ve been a patient since 2018. I loved Dr. Lawton and his staff and have recommended 4 others to the practice. However, it’s under new ownership. It’s been downhill since. Now under Dr Kelley. I went in for a teeth cleaning and the new doctor didn’t want to continue with me as a patient because “our views don’t align” all because I do what I’ve been doing since the start. I only get X-rays once a year (instead of twice). I just had them done in December and said we can skip them for this visit and just do the cleaning. She ... read more
