Great experience and fabulous color! – My first visit to a salon in Seattle after moving here from the other coast, and Joe at Mode made it a happy one. I am a bit of a diva when it comes to color and cuts, and Joe worked with me talking through what I like, what I want to do over the next year w/ my hair, and how much maintainence I am willing to do before making his recommendation. Great Experience at Mode Downtown – Chelsea at Mode Salon Downtown (on 4th and Pike) gave me a great haircut and made my visit such a pleasant experience. First she used a wonderful oil to massage my scalp--I really think it cleaned all the gunky product out of my hair, and the scalp massage was wonderful! Then, after washing with yummy products, she gave me a cut that makes me look much younger--and believe me, I appreciate that! Organic Facials! Wooo Hooo! – I have been a hair client of Mode for a while now... Fabulous! Fabulous! Fabulous! So when they opened their second location downtown (close to where I work) and added organic spa services to the menu I had to give it a try. I booked a facial with Julie using a new line of organic spa products called Eminence from Hungary. It was absolutely delightful! Chelsea is Amazing! – I'd been hearing great things about Mode for a while but never tried them because their Roosevelt location was not convenient for me. But after seeing them win Best Hair Salon in Seattle Magazine and finding out that they just opened a second salon downtown I could resist no longer. Fab stylist – I had a fantastic experience at Mode Downtown with stylist extraordinaire, Molly. She was a great listener and considerate about my anxiety with a new look. She walked me through every detail with great suggestions and always asked if I was comfortable with the plans. I've been getting raves about my shorter cut and highlights! Sigh. – First, let me say this: Molly did everything in her power to fix what went wrong. She truly did. And for that, I am appreciative. But it was wrong. All wrong. The color, the cut--you name it. I was crushed. No one wants to look bad, and I certainly didn't go in there looking for a bad hair experience. I should also mention that I just moved here. This was my first experience with a Seattle salon. Perhaps I should just fly home for haircuts/color. So disappointed.
The best salon experience I have ever had. The atmosphere is extremely relaxing, the staff is very friendly, and the stylist, Molly, was fabulous! She listened and questioned me to make sure I was getting the hair style I wanted. She answered all of my questions and took her time in cutting my hair (along with a great head massage). Chelsea works miracles!!! – I recently visited Seattle on an extended business trip and badly needed my hair cut and colored. I found Mode on the internet and when I called they recommended me to see Chelsea. I have never been happier with my hair. Before my service she discussed my face shape and skin tones and achieved a beautiful look for me. I also love the products they use at Mode, I stocked up on travel sizes! I hope to visit Seattle again even if it is only for my hair.
