Relocated here from Hoover, my dentist in Bham told me about Dr Gates.... I was so very happy with my dentist in Bham and I am just as happy here with Dr Gates. He is an amazing person to talk with and is a very talented dentist. Staff are extremely helpful. Nothing pushed on you, nice conservative approach. The entire family uses him. I can’t imagine using anyone else.
Dr. Gates and his son Dr. Gates are very good dentists. They have an enormous breath of experience. Day Gates III completed a very selective and prestigious prosthedontist program at Chapel Hill.

He seemed to be knowledgeable and knew what he was doing, but I felt that he overcharged me by insisting I get an unnecessary x-ray which had nothing to do with the procedure he performed. I said I didn't feel I needed the x-ray and he told me he wouldn't do the work unless I did. Either way I was screwed since I had driven 85 miles and would be out my gas and the office visit if I said no thank you. Bottom line $350 to fix a tooth.
