Like all EDs, it's a place where you get 30 min of care over the course of 15 hours. It seemed clean, although zero staff washed their hands or cleaned their stethoscopes before use. We came in by EMS to rule out a stroke. Like cardic and trauma, this is what EDs are designed for--it seems like pretty much everything else is marginalized. This hospital is 🤦🏽♀️a disgrace to the medical professional. Their track record of unprofessionalism has not failed over the past 15 years. It has gotten worse. Their is no accountability for their actions. We have been waiting in ER for 24 hours. The patient, next to us, has been in ER for 3 days because of no beds but the real truth is...they don't have enough nursing staff. This is the last time I will bring my love ones here. I will be going to USA Medical Center in the near future.
In March I come to ER for a problem with my elbow. It was one of the most inhumane and humiliating experience I encountered. After 4-5 hours of waiting a nurse interacted with me for 26 seconds and give me ibuprofen. Needless to say I was billed over $1,400. They claimed that a doctor seen me, although no diagnosis was made. When I requested the itemized bill and record several times via phone and letters, they were not able to provide it.
