Never again My husband and I went last Friday for our anniversary and went home very disappointed . One of the sushi we ordered had shrimp . After eating a few pieces I began to wonder just was in that roll! Much to our disappointment it was imitation shrimp!!! When I asked what it was they stumbled with the answer and said yes it was imitation shrimp! It did not state it on the menu I would never have ordered it. They did take it off the bill..... Great Food, Great Price! Miyoshi Japanese Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Bakersfield when it comes to Japanese Cuisine! Being part of Tokyo Gardens, the food is of high quality and unbelievably delicious! The price makes it affordable for the average diner.
Nice Looking Restaurant Miyoshi looks nice inside but they should work more on the quality of their food. The sushi rice was a bit hard like it had been sitting in the refrigerator and the fish didn't taste fresh. Their edamame was mushy and not crisp at all. But their tempura was okay.
miyoshi is AWSOME! i have to disagree on that last comment ... the sushi is always fresh when my husband and i go to eat there ... sushi restuarants have strict rules and guide lines for serving sushi... the rice can only sit for so long then they have to make fresh rice ... the place is always packed .. which means the service and the food is AWSOME! the prices are really good too ....my husband and i always order the "thing" the yellow submarine and the mexican roll ... all super yummy !
