We were looking forward to seeing a Neurology Specialist at CHLA. This was a total disappointment. Dr. Mitchell has a negative bedside manner, very abrupt, comes across as cold and has no filter. Dr. Mitchell doesn’t believe in Physical Therapy, Vision Therapy, and calls them voodoo. She should really consider Retirement as it is clear that she doesn’t seem to enjoy what she is doing. Very insensitive and blows off parents concerns. Our son is 4 and autistic so we needed a follow up due to image on previous mri she shows no care and makes us as parents feel wrong for wanting to assure ourselves that our child mri is ok.
She was the doctor of my brother for a long time. My mom thought she was a specialist in her field but she made so many mistakes. If it wasn't for his primary doctor at the time, he would have died from being over prescribed Dilantin. My brother is autistic so he cant talk for himself but she was so negligent in her practice. Another thing she did was she prescribed a sedative for an MRI she scheduled for him. As his doctor she should have known the interaction between the medications she prescribed and that sleeping agent. ... read more
Dr. Wendy Mitchell saw my son right after he was diagnosed with mild hemoplagia at 3-years-old. She agreed with the orthopedist who made the initial diagnosis that it was very mild and said we didn’t need OT or therapies, no MRI necessary as it wouldn’t change anything.
