One of my loved ones had a recent visit and was NOT pleased at all. Didn’t spend any time with my loved one to answer any questions. He swooped in, mentioned cancer and then left my loved one to talk with the NP. Shame on you for a poor bedside manner.
I have been very happy with the staff and Dr Shiffman. He doesnt sugar coat his thoughts and i appreciate that . He is very knowledgeable and helpful . my procedures, tests and consultations have been timely .

Possibly the best specialist I’ve ever seen. At the outset he said he would cure my Hep C and he did. Couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable Hepatologist!
I found him warm and easy to talk to. He explained things well, took a good amount of time with me, ordered more informative testing than other doctors I have seen. He even called me on a Sunday when it became evident I would need some testing sooner than expected. I feel lucky to have a hepatologist who follows up so carefully.
Dr Shiffman was curt, unhelpful and somewhat nasty. Total waste of time I am afraid. His frontoffice clerk was equally useless and didn't appear to know even the first thing about billing Medicare.
I would recommend Dr. Shiffman very highly as to his knowledge, professional manner and his caring for the patient's concerns. I was referred to him by my gastrologist and was very concern as to my liver problems, having gone through over a year of test, a biopsy and scanning. He reviewed all of the diagnostics very throughly and I left there with a better understanding of my condition and future treatment. THE BEST THERE IS, THANKS
