I used Mitchell Mandel over 20 years ago and he fixed an issue with my arms that had already taken me 1 year prior to get better, but was to no avail. His father was great but could not fix the problem and he jumped in, and was able to obtain results in a few months and finally cleared up the problem in about 7-8 months later. I will be forever grateful to him. I just made an appointment to see him this month and I cannot wait to go. The office was as usual a great experience. See you guys!!

I saw Dr. Mandel for many years and was very happy with him. There were a few instances where he charged me for unecesssary follow-ups , and tried to push his creams on me, but I overlooked it because I thought he was overall very professional and had a nice way about him. Over the years, I felt the general customer service of his staff declining. On my last scheduled appointment, the receptionist forgot to call me to cancel when the doctor was vacationing. That was the end for me.

Although my full bodycheck appointment was with Dr. Mandel, he substituted his PA without notifying me. Two prior examinations with him indicated no concerns; this time his PA said I needed four biopsies. I asked Dr. Mandel to confirm the biopsies were necessary; without examining me he said yes. The biopsy results were all benign; the biopsies unnecessary; just a way for Dr. Mandel to overbill. The PA butchered the bottom of my foot which took three weeks of pain and discomfort to heal.

I saw Dr. Mandel in Jericho. I was there to remove a birthmark on my back that had changed and was cosmetically unattractive. Dr. Mandel said the removal wouldn't be covered by my insurance and I paid out of pocket. He never suggested leaving it, as the area could possibly look worse after laser removal. I went back to him twice for injections to lighten the area which is now a bright red. He charged my insurance co. twice for my subsequent visits (?)...still red and I have to 2 co-pays.

Excellent manner, knowledgeable beyond that of two other doctors treating my allergic skin issue. Kudos to his staff for squeezing me in on very short notice. Thanks so much for getting me out of misery expdiently!
